- Schedule your first truck delivery for within a few days of Thanksgiving. We cut your order based upon the truck-loading date. Harvesting trees just before you need them keeps them fresher.
- Order a mix of species and sizes to have the right tree for every customer. Families who buy a large tree for the living room may also buy a small, inexpensive tree for a child's room or the table in their entry.
- Consider ordering a variety of grades to ensure that you have a tree for each customer's budget. Number 2 grade trees must have two good adjacent sides, so they make wonderful "corner" trees, at 75% of the Number 1 grade price.
- If possible, visit the farm to review how trees are graded. Match the tree grade with your area's market and the niche you are trying to fill. Consider using a Number 2 grade or Utility grade tree as a promotional tree.
- Encourage your customers to recycle their trees. To locate the closest recycler, visit  www.earth911.org
